What is SBS?

      SBS plastic is a thermoplastic material for 3D printing. It has become one of the most actively used due to its positive qualities. It is based on styrene-butadiene copolymer.

Properties of the SBS thread:

·      extrusion temperature – 220-240ºС;
·      table temperature – 70-90ºС;
·      blowout – 20%;
·      interlayer adhesion – low;
·      adhesion to the table – medium.

When should I use SBS for 3D printing?

      SBS-plastic is used for 3D printing of mechanical and engineering parts, because it has the characteristics of flexibility, thermal stability and impact resistance. And since this material has safety certificates that allow it to be used in contact with food, it can be used as a consumable for printing dishes, various containers and toys. In the industrial sphere, this material is used for the manufacture of bottles, as well as for high-quality prototypes of transparent dishes.

      SBS-plastic is also used for printing medical devices. It can be used to make lamps, as well as plafonds for them. Since there is no shrinkage of SBS, and it sticks perfectly to the desktop, this material is ideal for printing large layouts. This is a great material with which you can achieve a beautiful glass effect. SBS plastic products are frost-resistant and resistant to aggressive substances such as alcohols, fats, acids and alkalis.
